Very similar to Botox, Dysport is also a neurotoxin injected into the facial muscles to treat fine lines and wrinkles.
Botulinum Toxin is a neurotoxin injected directly into the facial muscles leaving the patient with a smoother more refreshed appearance.
Relatively painless, this procedure uses the tiniest needle possible for injections. Cosmetic injections require very little procedure time and patients can return to normal activities soon after.
Botox is effective in treating:
- Deep wrinkles in the forehead
- Forehead lines and Furrows
- Frown Lines
- Crow’s Feet
- Mid eyebrows (11’s)
- Sagging mouth corners
- Neck banding
How long do the effects of Dysport last?
The effects of Dysport injections are estimated to last up to four months, however, results vary with each patient.
Will I see the results immediately post injections?
No, you will begin to see the results of your Dysport injections within a few days of your treatment, however, it can take up to a week to see the complete results. Occasionally patients will require touch-up injections approximately two weeks after injections just to ensure you are getting the best results.
Is Dysport a good alternative to surgery?
Because the effects of Dysport are not permanent, it is not considered an alternative to surgery, however, injections can prolong the need for surgery. As a double board certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Parry will develop the best cosmetic plan to meet your aesthetic goals.
