BodyTite Procedure in Cleveland and Columbus OH
BodyTite is a minimally invasive device for body contouring delivering results previously only achieved through excisional procedures. BodyTite is an excellent treatment option for women and men who want to tighten and tone problem areas around their bodies. The J. Parry Clinic for Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics is excited to offer BodyTite treatment in Cleveland.
How Does BodyTite Work?
BodyTite is powered by directional radiofrequency (RF) resulting in three-dimensional tissue remodeling through fat coagulation and volumetric heating. The coagulation of fat using RF-induced heat results in radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL). It is the most advanced and effective FDA-cleared device for minimally invasive fat reduction and skin tightening available today. Often, BodyTite is combined with traditional liposuction to further remove excess fat and fluid resulting in a more defined and sculpted look.
Liposuction with BodyTite
Liposuction is the removal of excess and unwanted fat through tiny access sites by means of suction techniques. Unlike traditional liposuction which only removes unwanted fat, liposuction combined with BodyTite also tightens skin. Since BodyTite is performed before liposuction, the RF causes coagulation and liquifying of fat which allows less trauma and easier fat removal than traditional liposuction.
Areas that can be treated with BodyTite with Liposuction
BodyTite in conjunction with liposuction can be performed to treat excess fat and loose skin of the abdomen, flanks, backs, arms, or thighs. In addition, FaceTite can be performed on the face and neck region, see FaceTite.
The best BodyTite and Liposuction results are the most reliably achieved in individuals who are at or close to their ideal body weight.
The ideal candidate will have a body mass index and BMI below 29 with mild to moderate skin inelasticity. For individuals with more than moderate skin excess and inelasticity, BodyTite skin tightening effects may be limited, and excisional surgery may be indicated.

Frequently Asked Questions about BodyTite Procedure
-
Are BodyTite and Liposuction right for me?
Every case must be individualized to determine if liposuction is right for you. During your consultation, Dr. Parry will carefully review your goals, perform a physical examination and advise you on the best treatment option.
-
Can BodyTite with Liposuction be performed in the outpatient setting?
BodyTite and liposuction can be accomplished safely in the office under local tumescent anesthesia for small areas, or under light sedation for larger areas. In some cases, liposuction may be performed in the operating room under general anesthesia.
-
Is Liposuction always done with BodyTite?
Most people have both loose skin and extra adipose tissue and would benefit from both modalities. BodyTite uses radiofrequency energy to tighten the loose skin which is associated with aging and liposuction.
-
How are BodyTite and Liposuction performed?
The procedure is performed using tiny access sites using an IV needle or a small sub-centimeter incision. A tumescent solution is introduced to the treatment area to numb the area. BodyTite is performed first to heat up the fat and tissue to cause skin tightening. Once the thermal levels are achieved with BodyTite, a liposuction cannula are inserted to remove the excess fat and fluid produced by the RF.
-
How long does it take?
The time of the procedure will vary depending on the size of the area being treated and ranges from one to three hours.
-
What is the downtime and recovery for BodyTite with Liposuction?
Most patients return to work typically 2-3 days after the procedure, however more extensive treatments of multiple areas may require up to one week. Swelling predominates for two weeks after treatment and then steadily resolves over 8 to 10 weeks. A compression garment is worn continuously for two weeks and intermittently for an additional two weeks. Compression shapewear such as Spanx can be used instead of a garment after one week.
-
When can I see results with BodyTite and Liposuction?
The results can become visible in 2-10 weeks; however, the skin tightening effects will take an additional 3-6 months to achieve the full results secondary to increase collagen production from the RF.
-
When can I exercise again?
Light cardio can be resumed in approximately 5 days. More strenuous activity can resume around 2 weeks.
